Position: Chief Finance Officer (Volunteer)
Location: Virtual (preference for candidates based in or near Gothenburg, Sweden)
Commitment: Approximately 4 hours per week for 1 year
What We’re Looking For:
Accounting experience (professional).
Enthusiastic, organised, and reliable individuals with an interest in STEM.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
Proficiency in English (working language is English).
Experience with not-for-profit organisations (beneficial but not essential).
What You’ll Do:
Oversee financial operations for WITGBG.
Analyse data and report to our Board of Directors quarterly.
Track expenses, file receipts, and reconcile bank statements.
Create and send invoices, and manage payment reminders.
Process volunteer expense claims and maintain financial records.
Prepare year-end financial reports for our Annual General Meeting.
Submit tax returns via Skatteverket (Swedish Tax Agency).
Recruit and lead a finance team to support long-term organisational goals.
You’ll have room to learn and grow in the role, with the freedom to suggest and implement improvements as you become more confident.
